Join FreeEric Keith Woodard, 42, of Panama City, Florida, passed away on March 26, 2026. He was born on April 1, 1983, in Gadsden, Alabama.Eric was an accomplished drummer during his high school years and continued to share his passion for music well into adulthood, performing with his band, Reverend Gladimier. His love for music and natural talent behind the drums left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of hearing him play.Eric dedicated 13 years of service to WJHG as a TMP, where he played an important role in numerous newscasts and earned several awards for his work. He took great pride in his career and was deeply committed to helping keep his community informed and safe. Eric’s dedication, professionalism, and passion for his work made him a valued colleague and friend.Eric will be remembered for his talent, dedication, and the positive impact he made on those around him and throughout his community.He is preceded in death by his grandparents; James and Mabel Rankin and Paul and Mary Woodard; uncle, Mickey Rankin; cousins, Chris Bittner and Charles Wright.Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 14 years, Christy Woodard; stepson, Clayton Colvard; parents, Ginger and Paul Woodard.A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Heritage Funeral Home, Panama City with Scott Rossman and Barry Lowin officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Rimmer, Danny Rawlings, Kevin Owens, Barry Lowin, and Scott Rossman.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Operation Spay Bay or the American Bear Foundation.The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Heather Zeissler and Kimberly Love for the love and care they provided to Eric. From assisting with appointments to helping around the home, their kindness and dedication meant so much. Since December, they stood faithfully beside Eric’s wife, serving not only as friends but as compassionate caregivers.Your love, compassion, dignity, and respect shown to Eric until the very end will never be forgotten.
