Tyndall Outdoor Recreation (ODR) is thrilled to announce two exclusive, guided kayak scalloping trips to the pristine grass flats of St. Joseph Bay. Whether you're a seasoned local or experiencing your first Gulf Coast summer, scalloping from a kayak is the best way to bypass the crowds, glide over the shallow flats, and snag your limit of fresh bay scallops. ODR handles the driving, the kayaks, and the gear--all you have to bring is your dive mask and a cooler! These are our highly anticipated pilot trips for the 2026 season, and spots are strictly limited. Trip 1: The Opening Day Launch Date: Sunday, August 16 Location: Salinas Park Bayside (Midday Tide) Trip 2: The Sunset Paddle Date: Sunday, August 23 Location: Eagle Harbor, St. Joseph Peninsula State Park (Late Afternoon Tide) What You Need to Know: Who Can Go: Open to all Tyndall AFB Active Duty, Retirees, and Dependents (ages 8+). Gear Included: Kayaks, paddles, life jackets, and dive flags are provided by ODR. Pricing: $25.00 per person Licensing: Active Duty Military stationed in FL are exempt from a fishing license (military ID required).
