Special Event: African Landing Commemoration Event--West African Youth Dance Workshop with The DAY Program

Monday, August 24, 2026 from 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm at the Fort Monroe YMCA! Ages 8 to 18 are welcome! African Landing Commemoration would not be complete without traditional West African Dance!! Join Hampton's own, The DAY Program, with special guest instructor Yusef Payton for a youth West African Dance Workshop!! The activity is free and open to youth ages 8 to 18. SPACE IS LIMITED and registration is required. ONLY 30 students will be accepted. Parents are permitted to watch, but are not counted towards the capacity of the class. Each student must be listed in registration.
