Special Event: African Landing Commemoration Event-Community West African Drum Workshop with The DAY Program

Tuesday, August 25, 2026 from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm at Fort Monroe! Ages 8 to 18 are welcome! African Landing Commemoration would not be complete without traditional West African Drumming!! Join Hampton's own, The DAY Program, for a youth West African Drumming Workshop!! The activity is free and open to youth ages 8 to 18. SPACE IS LIMITED, and registration is required. ONLY 30 students will be accepted. Parents are permitted to watch, but are not counted towards the capacity of the class. Each student must be listed in registration.
