About This Event

Sensory Hours | November 2026 Pinch Pot Activity | Hall of History, History Cart Join our educators in the Hall of History for hands-on activities inspired by Native American Heritage Month. Guests can create pinch pots, explore seed crushing and experience calming sensory play connected to traditional materials and cultural practices. Sensory Hours offer a calmer way to experience the San Bernardino County Museum. During this time, lighting is softened and the museum environment is quieter to create a more comfortable, low-sensory setting for visitors who prefer a gentler museum experience. Sensory Hours are especially welcoming for individuals with sensory sensitivities, including those on the autism spectrum or with sensory processing differences, but they are open to anyone who enjoys exploring the museum in a more relaxed atmosphere. Each month, the museum's education team hosts hands-on sensory activities in a different exhibit hall. These guided experiences may include tactile exploration, art activities, or opportunities to interact with natural materials connected to the museum's collections. Activities vary each month and are designed to encourage curiosity, discovery and playful learning in a supportive environment. Admission:• $10 adults• $8 military or seniors• $7 students• $5 children ages 6-12• Free for children five and under• Museum members are free Parking is free, and the museum is accessible to persons with disabilities.
