Ember Day

Reviving the ancient Christian tradition of quarterly Ember Days, these one-day retreats offer time, silence, beauty and Sabbath rest at the hinges of the year. Each Ember Day will center around a theme suggested by the Earth's season and the season of the church year--Advent, Lent, Pentecost and Ordinary Time. Through reflections on our theme, as well as time for walking, journaling and prayer, a spaciousness of heart can begin to heal the hurried character of our days. Ember Days are from 10-4 at the Lodge. We recommend you arrive between 9:30 and 9:45 to allow time to walk from the parking area to the Lodge and to settle in by 10. Please bring a bag lunch.
