Saturday, October 3 | 6:00-9:00 PM Penobscot Valley Country Club 366 Main Street, Orono Join the Bangor Historical Society for Liberty & Legacy: BHS Annual Awards Night, an evening celebrating those who have made a lasting impact on our community and its history, while commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States and the Declaration of Independence. Guests are invited to embrace the spirit of the evening by dressing in patriotic colors or as a favorite historical figure. The celebration will include a buffet-style dinner, the presentation of the Bangor Historical Society's annual awards, and a special opportunity to experience a remarkable piece of American history. 2026 Award Honorees George Hale Judge John E. Durgin Generations of Service Award In honor of this historic milestone, the Bangor Historical Society's rare William Stone engraving of the Declaration of Independence will make a special trip to Orono and be on display for guests during the evening.
