DESCRIPTION:Reviving the ancient Christian tradition of quarterly Ember Days\, these one-day retreats offer time\, silence\, beauty and Sabbath rest at the hinges of the year. Each Ember Day will center around a theme suggested by the Earth's season and the season of the church year--Advent\, Lent\, Pentecost and Ordinary Time. Through reflections on our theme\, as well as time for walking\, journaling and prayer\, a spaciousness of heart can begin to heal the hurried character of our days. \nEmber Days are from 10-4 at the Lodge.  We recommend you arrive between 9:30 and 9:45 to allow time to walk from the parking area to the Lodge and to settle in by 10.
