Join FreeJoin Friends of the Riverfront for another Train on the Water Trail session and explore the Allegheny River! Penn State Extension's Master Watershed Steward Program will lead an in-person education session where participants will learn about the importance of our riparian areas and watersheds and the role they play, followed by a short paddle along the Allegheny River at the Three Rivers Water Trail Launch in Springdale, PA. Participants with their own kayak or canoes are encouraged to bring them; Friends will provide seats in one of our kayaks or canoes for those that do not have their own! Registration will be limited. The 2026 Train on the Trail series offers enrichment opportunities for volunteers and trail users to gain introductory knowledge and skills that will benefit their trail experience, including identifying native and invasive plants, watercraft safety, tree identification, and more! An email will be sent the day before the event with details. Email Ashley Martin, Trail Stewardship Program Manager, with any questions at ashley@friendsoftheriverfront.org.
