Presented by JM Family Enterprises Celebrate America 250 and Florida's rich colonial history with a free day of creativity, discovery, and family fun at The Schmidt Boca Raton History Museum! Enjoy free museum admission, hands-on crafts, historic artifacts, a family storytime, refreshments, and activities inspired by our special exhibition, The 14th Colony. All-Day Activities 10:00 AM-4:00 PM Free Museum Admission Museum Scavenger Hunt Featured Activities Conquistador Artifacts Showcase 11:00 AM-1:00 PM Discover authentic 16th-century Spanish artifacts from the personal collection of historical reenactor Robert Feeney and learn about the explorers who helped shape early Florida. Spanish Colonial Crafts 1:00 PM-3:00 PM Create your own masterpieces with three hands-on activities: Create Spanish gold doubloons and decorate a treasure pouch Design a Spanish shield Make a Spanish royal crown Treasure Hunt 1:00 PM-4:00 PM Search the museum for hidden treasure! One lucky explorer who discovers the hidden treasure will take home an extra stash of gold. Storytime in the Pioneer Exhibit 3:00 PM Gather in the Pioneer Exhibit for a family-friendly story celebrating exploration, adventure, and Florida's early history.
