Pioneer Christmas Day Camp (2026)

Step back in time and experience the magic of Christmas in 1889! During Pioneer Christmas, children will spend a cozy morning at the historic 1889 Territorial Schoolhouse learning what Christmas was like for pioneer families in the Oklahoma Territory. Through stories, crafts, and hands-on activities, campers will discover how families prepared for the holiday, decorated their homes, made gifts, played, and celebrated Christmas long before modern conveniences. If the weather is nice, we'll head outside for a pioneer game; otherwise, children will have time to play with traditional pioneer toys inside the schoolhouse. Children are welcome to dress in pioneer clothing, although costumes are not required. We'll also enjoy a simple Christmas snack during the morning. If your child has severe food allergies, please plan to send a snack with them. This is a drop-off program recommended for children ages 6-13. Each session is the same, so children only need to register for one day. Come warm up by the stove and discover the simple joys of an 1889 Christmas!
