Friends of the Library Speaker

We are returning to our series about The Sun Cities with a presentation about Del Webb from the Sun Cities Area Historical Society on Wednesday August 26, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the Lecture Hall at the R.H. Johnson Recreation Center. Bret McKeand, a member of the Society's Speakers Bureau, will be our presenter. Along the way, he owned the New York Yankees for 20 years, pioneered the casino/convention hotel in Las Vegas, and went against the experts' advice in opening the nation's first active adult community.
