Auto Care 101 for Teens • Ages 14-18 Just got your Kansas instructional permit? Heading off to college this fall? Learn the basic car maintenance skills every new driver should know! Join the McConnell AFB Auto Hobby Shop and the School Liaison Program for a fun, hands-on workshop where teens will gain the confidence to handle common roadside situations. No experience is necessary. During this 2-hour workshop, participants will learn how to: Jump-start and replace a car battery Replace windshield wiper blades Check essential engine fluids Check tire pressure Safely jack up a vehicle and install a spare tire Participants will also receive FREE pizza and drinks, a car maintenance gift for their glovebox, and a Certificate of Completion. Registration is required by June 29. Parents or guardians must register participants in advance.
