About this event

Have you ever wondered how archaeologists uncover stories from prehistoric times? Do you have a mysterious artifact at home and are curious if it's the real deal? Meet the experts who can help unlock those answers during Pennsylvania Archaeology Month at Meadowcroft Rockshelter! Archaeologists from the Society for Pennsylvania Archaeology will be on-site to bring history to life through engaging talks, hands-on artifact identification, and live demonstrations of prehistoric tools and technology. Whether you're a history buff or a curious explorer, this is your chance to step into the shoes of an archaeologist and uncover the secrets of the past! Admission Access to Archaeology Day at Meadowcroft is included with regular admission. All kids aged 17 and under receive free admission, thanks to UPMC and UPMC Health Plan.
