Morbidly Curious Book Club: 'Empire of the Scalpel'

The Westport chapter of the global Morbidly Curious Book Club (MCBC) will meet the fourth Tuesday of every month. For October, the group will be discussing Empire of the Scalpel: The History of Surgery by Ira Rutkow. A virtual book club with thousands of global members and dozens of local chapters, MCBC explores the dark side of nonfiction with monthly selections on topics including cults, true crime, ghosts and hauntings, and medical history.
