(NABIP) South Central Indiana 9/11 Memorial Program

To mark the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, and honor the memory of those who lost their lives, their families and friends, the National Association of Benefits and Insurance Professionals (NABIP) South Central Indiana will hold a memorial program at the Atterbury-Bakalar Air Museum, 4742 Ray Boll Blvd., Columbus, on Sept. 11. A gathering and self-guided tours of the air museum will begin before the ceremony from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. The ceremony will begin at 9:30 a.m., welcoming all first responders, members of the military, friends and family of those lost on 9/11, and all patriotic citizens. Attendance is free. The program will include opening remarks from South Central NABIP Vice President Larry Mayfield, a keynote speech by Maj. Gen. Mark A. Pillar, U.S. Air Force (retired), along with special patriotic musical numbers by the Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, prayer led by Evan Guse, senior pastor of First Baptist Church, and the Presentation of Colors, Gun Salute and Taps by the Bartholomew County Honor Guard. South Central NABIP members are encouraged to gather in the Media Center after the ceremony for a short chapter meeting, which will conclude at 11:30 a.m.
