Stories Behind the Strings: Friends of the Bulgarian Tambura

Friends of the Bulgarian Tambura is a unique event that brings together musicians from across the region in an interactive instrumental and singing workshop followed by a thrilling evening of performance the next night. Returning in 2026, the event provides an opportunity to explore the Bulgarian tambura and Croatian simica along with master artists. Intermediate to advanced musical experience recommended for active playing. All experience levels welcome to listen & learn. This Friday evening event is FREE and open to everyone. We invite you to come, learn, sing, play along, or just listen and enjoy. Food and drink will be available for purchase starting at 6pm; workshop begins at 7pm.
