Reading by Author Josephine L. McKee

Josephine L. McKee will read excerpts from her books, published through McKee Bird Publishing, which she founded. The books include two novels, Green Through a Leaf and Gertrude, and a book on color for interiors titled Color in Seven Chapters: Color in Interiors. The relationship between these books will be discussed. She will also discuss her upcoming book publication. About the Author Josephine L. McKee has been writing since early childhood. She has worked as a colorist for many interior design projects. She has taught at the Rhode Island School of Design Interior Architecture Department, as well as School of Visual Arts and museums in New York City. Honors that she has received include a manuscript that was shortlisted for the Bellwether Prize for Socially Engaged Fiction, judged by Barbara Kingsolver. She holds a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and MFA in Painting from the University of Pennsylvania. Her writing has been published in periodicals, including The Brooklyn Rail. She lives in Vermont, her home state.
