Shelter Medicine Veterinary Educators 2026 - University of Georgia

The Shelter Medicine Veterinary Educators (SMVE) Symposium serves as a complement to the Primary Care Veterinary Educators (PCVE) Symposium, run annually by the AAVMC. While many PCVE attendees work in the shelter medicine field, this forum provides a specific focus on topics central to shelter medicine and community medicine programs, including an emphasis on access to veterinary care.
