Regenerative Studio Fall 2026 Events
When & where
About this event
The Regenerative Studio aims to tap into Cornell AAP's deep current of ecological exploration, practice, research, and expression to transform the landscape surrounding Tjaden Hall. Such a transformation would entail perennial and self-seeding gardens to source creative materials (e.g., material for dyes, weaving, fiber, sculpture, etc.), enhance biodiversity, create regenerative feedback loops (i.e., composting natural art materials back into the garden), and provide pedagogic spaces built on dynamic engagement and reciprocity. The fall semester centers the project intellectually through a series of invited lectures and a community meal. In the spring, knowledge sharing shifts to collaborative action, specifically through the design and planting of an intentional, regenerative garden. This project is led by Art Department Manager Devon Jenkins, with support from AAP Exhibitions and Events Coordinator Tina DuBois, and funding from a Cornell Council for the Arts grant.
