Join FreeThe Treasure Valley Family YMCA is hosting a comprehensive, six-week Women's Health Series, designed to empower women with knowledge, tools, and support for navigating midlife health. The series will run from September 24 through October 29, with sessions on Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the Tomlinson South Meridian YMCA. Click here to register. The series brings together healthcare professionals and wellness experts to address key topics affecting women's health, including menopause, nutrition, physical activity, heart health, and overall well-being. Topics will explore hormonal changes, menopause symptoms, stress management, heart health, bone health, nutrition, and effective communication strategies while navigating life changes. Each week will feature a 90-minute presentation led by local experts including: Understanding Perimenopause & Menopause, led by Hannah Underdahl, CNM, WHNP-BC Nutrition for Midlife Women with Tracy Bento, RD, CDCES, CSOWM, MSCP Exercise & Movement led by Monique Middlekauff, PhD, C-EP, CSCS Heart Health led by Dr. Alina Robert Self-Care & Symptom Management with LeAnn Mora, LCSW, CBTI-C The Women's Health Series reflects the YMCA's ongoing commitment to holistic health, education, and community connection. Participants will gain practical knowledge while connecting with local providers and peers in a supportive environment.
