11th Annual UFCW Local 888 Walkathon

Local 888 makes a conscientious effort to give back to our members and the communities we serve. A few years ago Local 888 learned that Sickle Cell Anemia, Leukemia and Breast Cancer are diseases that affect various members and decided to do something about it. In an effort to support our members Local 888 put together a 5-mile Walk-A-Thon. The purpose of this Walk-A-Thon is to raise money to aide in the research for a cure for Breast Cancer, Leukemia and Sickle Cell Anemia and bring awareness to these diseases. (Proceeds from this event also help to finance the UFCW Scholarship Fund.)
