JBSA-Fort Sam Houston Equestrian Center Whether you're a beginner or an experienced rider, the JBSA-Fort Sam Houston Equestrian Center offers horseback riding lessons for all skill levels in both English and Western styles. Lessons are available by appointment only, with horses, saddles, and tack provided for each session. Riders must be at least 7 years old to participate. Private lessons are $60 per hour, semi-private lessons are $50 per rider, and group lessons are $40 per rider. Be sure to ask about available package deals!
