Virginia V. Brown, 82, of Panama City, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 30, 2026.Virginia was born on August 3, 1943, in Panama City. She retired as Head Cook at Bay Medical Center, where she was well-known and respected during her career. Virginia’s hobbies included singing gospel music, going to church and spending time with her family.She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Cox and Ann Ruth Hughes; husband, Tommy Joe Brown; brother, Edward Cox; and sister, Dovie Wise.Left to treasure her memory are her daughters, Tammy Benson (Dale Benson, Sr.) and Neta Owens (Charles Owens); grandchildren, Dale Benson, Jr. (Candice Benson), Christopher Cauley (Kelly Cauley) and Jo Holland (Cody Holland); great-grandchildren, Ethin Benson, Hayden Holland, Bradley Holland, Maverick Holland, Joshua Denton, Courtney Davis, Cody Marsh, Cyle Marsh and Chase Colon; great-great-granddaughter, Aliyana Colon aka Apple; and a brother, Jim Pettis.A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 6 – 8p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home.The funeral service will take place on Friday, April 3, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, with Rev. Jesse Curles officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Lynn Haven Cemetery.Serving as pallbearers are Dale Benson, Jr., Christopher Cauley, Cody Holland, Ethin Benson, Hayden Holland, Bradley Holland, Maverick Holland and Joshua Denton.
