2026 Park County Fair

Position Summary:The CSU Extension Intern will support the planning, coordination, and execution of the 2026 Park County Fair. This position offers hands-on experience in event management, youth development, and community engagement. The intern will work closely with Extension staff, volunteers, and county partners to ensure a successful, educational, and safe fair experience for all participants.Key Responsibilities:Assist with fair check-in and data entry using ShoWorks and other fair management systemsHelp prepare fairgrounds materials (stall signs, exhibit tags, judging sheets, award forms, etc.)Support communication with 4-H families, leaders, and volunteers (email reminders, social media updates, schedules)Assist with the coordination of judges, volunteers, and vendors during fair eventsProvide on-site support during fair week, including helping with logistics, set-up/tear-down, and troubleshootingMaintain a welcoming and organized environment at the Extension office during fair weekSupport recordkeeping and post-fair wrap-up tasks (thank-you letters, awards, inventory, data cleanup)Qualifications:Interest in youth development, agricultural systems, and community-based event planning and programmingStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to take initiative and work independently or as part of a teamComfortable working in a fast-paced and public-facing environmentFamiliarity or interest with 4-H, Extension, or county operationsSchedule & Compensation:This position is in-person, temporary work at the Park County FairgroundsPosition is $18.00 per hour.
