Model Railroad Weekend

Join us on Saturday and Sunday, August 29 & 30, as we host our annual Model Railroad Weekend. This year's event schedule is more packed than ever before. Guests will have the opportunity to run the Maine Central Model Railroad, visit our Second Annual Model Railroad Hobby Sale located in our South Boston Carhouse, and view traveling layouts on display this weekend. The Pump Car will also be available on our heritage railway for guests to operate on Sunday, August 30. Check out the full schedule below! Saturday 8/29 All Day - Guests operate the Maine Central Model Railroad All Day - New Hampshire Garden Railway Society's G-Scale layout on display outdoors in overflow field All Day - Maine 3-Railers' O-Scale layout on display in South Boston Carhouse 10AM - Model Railroad Hobby sale in South Boston Carhouse opens 1PM-2PM - Guided discussion on model railroading led by Harry Fish, one of the original builders of the Maine Central Model Railroad 3PM - Model Railroad Hobby sale in South Boston Carhouse closes Sunday 8/30 All Day - Pump Car Available for Rides! All Day - Guests operate the Maine Central Model Railroad All Day - New Hampshire Garden Railway Society's G-Scale layout on display outdoors in overflow field 10AM-12PM - 15-minute guided operating sessions led by Harry Fish. A sign up sheet will be located in the Maine Central Model Railroad building 1PM-3PM - N-Scale mini-diorama workshop led by Matt Keiser, Seashore Volunteer.
