Beer for Good: Help The Hellbender

Winding Waters Group, member of the Sierra Club 'Hoosier' Chapter, presents: Beer for Good: Help The Hellbender will cover a collaborative project between Indiana Lakes Management Society, Help the Hellbender Laboratory - Purdue University, and Metazoa Brewing Company. This project, conducted in 2024, celebrated Lakes Appreciation Month with several different formats of events from a short film showing, Q&A session with the Help the Hellbender Laboratory, A limited edition beer release with Metazoa Brewing Company, and the opportunity for membership to participate in releasing Eastern Hellbenders back into the Blue River in Southern Indiana. Grace Patchett of Indiana Lakes Management Society will provide background on Eastern Hellbenders and their connection to Indiana's waterways, share the short film Hellbender in the Blue by Katelyn Calhoun, and discuss collaboration and fundraising tactics and techniques for natural resource organizations in the Hoosier State.
