Voices of Survival: Conversations with Survivors and Their Descendants Included with your admission to The FHM Join us Sundays at 1:00 p.m. for live testimonies from Holocaust Survivors and their descendants, included with your admission to The FHM, on The Museum's Third Floor. Halina Herman was born in Warsaw, Poland in 1939. Her father, a physician, was deported by the Germans to a slave-labor camp in 1941 and she never saw him again, while her mother obtained false papers and placed Halina with a non-Jewish family, who raised her as a Christian child. After the war, Halina was reunited with her mother and learned about her Jewish identity.
