The Art of Texture: Encaustic and Mixed Media

Instructor: Hazel Griffiths Location: Studio C Wednesday, October 14 & 21 | This is a 2-day workshop that spans two weeks! Cost: $95 + $40 material fees Materials fees must be paid in cash directly to the instructor, and are due on the day of the workshop. In this two-day, all-level workshop, we will use encaustic and mixed media techniques to build up beautiful surfaces and textures to create an imaginative impression of a landscape you can create from your imagination or a real place that you hold a deep connection to: your garden, childhood home, or a favorite vacation spot. All materials are provided; students are free to bring in their own substrate as long as it's a solid surface (not canvas).
