Day Retreat on Mary

Learning a Way of Living from Mary of Nazareth, Our Sister in Faith It's Mary's birthday month! September 8th is the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary on the liturgical calendar -- and as a friend who knows our deepest needs, perhaps she'd like to give us a gift for her birthday. This day will invite participants to reflect on and spend time with Mary, who is truly our sister, who truly shared our lot (Pope Paul VI). She has wisdom for a very practical way to live amidst all the complications and joys and terrors and beauty of everyday human living. Whatever our religious affiliation, we can gain wisdom and inspiration by looking at how Mary handled what it is to be human and to be in relationship with God. She is, after all, our sister in faith - not one who directs or defines our way, but one who reminds us of the resources we carry with us as we go (Sr. Patricia Noone).
